Travel to Capitol Park by Car

Capitol Park Leeds is easily accessed by car, being located next to the M62 motorway at Junction 28.

Sometimes, because of where you live or family commitments, driving to work is the only option. Or you might need the use of a car during the day. But you can still help with the Travel Plan objectives by Car Sharing.

Car Sharing

Car sharing is when two or more people travel together in a car. It allows people to benefit from the convenience of the car, it's an easy way to cut your CO2 emissions, reduce the numbers of cars on the road, and save money!.

Even if you don’t drive you can still Car Share, as 60 per cent of car drivers would be willing to share a car to work if there was someone suitable to travel with. Splitting costs with your fellow passengers will save on fuel and maintenance costs.

CarshareLeeds.com has been set up to provide a free carsharing service for all those who live in and around Leeds. The website also provides information relating to travel by public transport, walking and cycling.

If you want to get involved, register at the site to enter details of the journey you want to make — as a driver or passenger, or alternating as a driver and passenger.

It is up to car sharers to negotiate what contribution to expenses the passenger should pay. Liftshare suggests that passengers and drivers split petrol costs or that each passenger pays the driver 10p a mile. No money need change hands where car-sharers drive on alternate days.
